Upon successful completion, students receive an ACLS Provider card, valid for two years. Successful course completion includes demonstrating skills competency in all learning stations and passing the CPR and AED skills test, a bag-mask ventilation skills test, a Megacode test, and a written exam. In this course, skills are taught in large, group sessions and small, group learning and testing stations where case-based scenarios are presented. It also covers airway management and related pharmacology. This course highlights the importance of team dynamics and communication, systems of care, and immediate post-cardiac-arrest care. A Current BLS (CPR) Card is NOT required for this class. If you have a current, non-lapsed BLS (CPR) for Healthcare Provider card, your BLS for Healthcare Provider card will also be renewed. If seats fill up, you may need to be rescheduled.Įffective January 1, 2023, all ACLS Renewal courses will be the ACLS and BLS (CPR) Renewal Course.Īdvanced Cardiovascular Life Support is an advanced, instructor-led Renewal Course designed specifically for those with a current (non-lapsed) American Heart Association ACLS Provider Card.
